The Man Behind the Man

He sold disco jewelry, managed a reggae band, lived across the hall from Larry David and this weekend, as the rest of us boarded busses bound for sea and sand, he celebrated his 500th bus tour.

Who is this man you ask? Gothamist answers, the real Kramer of course (aka Kenny Kramer, Larry David's muse for Seinfeld's Kramer)!
You remember that show Seinfeld, right? And Cosmo Kramer? And the episode where he started a bus tour of his own? And how art imitates life, and life imitates art? Well even though the show ended in 1998, the real Kramer's tour is still going strong.

What does the tour include?

•A 60-minute routine inside The Producers Club Theater (W. 44th Street)
Stops at...
•the real "Soup Nazi" soup stand (which is the Soup Kitchen International @ 259A West 55 Street)
•Tom's (on Seinfeld this was called Monks, the diner which is actually located at 112th Street and Broadway)
•& more!

Visit the real Kramers website & get on the 501st tour. Let us know if you go or if you've been in the past...Gothamist is curious!

Giddyup!
