<description>&lt;p&gt;Background testing can be as mundane as verifying degrees and dates of employment for previous jobs.  A criminal background is the only thing to be concerned about, unless you have a troubled credit report and you are looking for a finance-oriented job.  May not be open or legal, but often the logic is that if you can&apos;t manage your own money, you shouldn&apos;t be trusted with the company&apos;s.  Most likely they are just verifying that your resume is not inflated.  Good luck.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
