Thompson sure acts like he owns the place. The all-day-barking-dog thing aside, I say that I've met a lot of people who make worse tenants than most pets.

The Times also has an article about the law, which is more complicated than I realized (if you smuggled in a pet and no one took action against you during the first three months, you could keep it), but more interesting was that the civilian leading the effort to change the law is Mary Max, the wife of artist Peter Max. And I'm not surprised Thompson acts like that - you guys let him get away with everything.

thompson is always saying he's going to kick in for the rent, but then when the 1st of the month comes around, he's always like "yo, i'm a little short this month" or "yo, i sent it to you- you didn't get the check?" that dude is rotten through and through.
