This was on Moby's site yesterday... Teany Float To Pull 6/23/2004 - New York City kelly and i need some people to pull the teany float (it's very light, but we need 4 volunteers). so anyone who would like to volunteer will: a-get to have fun walking around the mermaid parade and b-get a free dinner or lunch for 2 at teany so if you're interested in helping out please contact lazarina@earthlink.net thanks! and hopefully i'll see you this saturday at coney island. -moby

My friends and I took part in the parade last year. We were the 99cents mermaids. Basically, everything that was on us was worth no more than 99cents. It was ghetto but fun. good times, good times.
