The 7 Is The Nostalgia Train Today

2004_06_7train.jpg

If you take the 7 train between 10AM and 1PM, you may be riding on a vintage train! The Post, as the official newspaper of old subway trains, reports that a vintage train will run from Times Square to Main Street in Flushing, Queens today. This sounds good to Gothamist, but given how hot today is, we might opt for some trains with A/C.

  • I haven't had to ride the 7 in a while, but now I'm confused, because I can't think of a time I wasn't riding on a "vintage" train when I took it.

Give a call to the MTA, perhaps...

I'm really thinking about skipping out of work from 10a to 1p to catch this, but the MTA Subway Centennial Events site only lists a "Nostalgia Train" for June 20--and you'd have to pay $25-$30 to ride it :(

Can anyone else confirm that there's going to be a "Nostalgia Train" today (b/c I'm a little reluctant to believe everything I read...)?
