Kris Humpries shouldn't even be in the draft, I am a purdue fan and i watched Humpries all year in the big ten, i think the problem is that there was nobody else to help him out at minnesota, and when he puts up 19 ppg and 10 boards it makes him look better than he really is. i'm not saying he isn't good or anything like that but another year in school would have served him better

There is no way Boston will pass on robert Swift with the 15th pick and take Kris Humpries.

Nice job Kyle -- a few thoughts:

I think Childress --> CHA is an unfounded rumor and that if Deng's there there's no way he slips past #4 (if CHA doesn't make a move to get Okafor).

That sends shocks through the rest of the 1st 1/2 of your mock:

5 - Was then goes with Beidrins or Livingston,
6 - LAC, Gordon
7 - PHO -- i'm hearing Phoenix is sending J. White and their pick (7) to Utah (14) or ATL(17) to clear caproom for the Kobe (or Nash) sweepstakes.

then who knows about TOR - do they take a gambel on Pavel w/ Beidrens gone?

9- Philly - Obie takes Childress
10 - I'd be surprised if CLE didn't take Jameer Nelson

I also think Tiago Splitter will squeeze into the 20s.

Its just so hard to predict this year...but fun to follow! I'm guessing the R. Swift rumors are true

wow, great job on this KG. how do you keep up with all this? i remember the days where i used to know just about every player who got drafted, but the infusion of high school and foreign talent makes the NBA Draft about as much fun to watch as the MLB Draft. just my opinion, yo.

Gerald Wallace can start packing his bags for Charlotte.

I saw the Swift rumour as well, I'm just want Ainge to draft Humphries. Although if the C's sign Etan Thomas, we won't need him.

Nice mock. We'll see if any of the promise rumors are true. Latest has another source (in addition to the one from weeks back) claiming Swift won't get past the Celtics at #15. Where there's smoke, there's fire.

The Kings do need some athleticism, but I hope Petrie trades for experienced athleticism. They've already got a guy who can jump and touch the scoreboard (Gerald Wallace), but he's just too young and inexperienced. It's gonna be hard for a young player to get minutes with their tight rotation.

At the very least, they should look for a guy who can rebound. Webber can hardly jump. Miller has a three-inch vertical leap. Vlade has a two-inch vertical. Pitiful.
