Suspended Poetry

2004_06_artsbridgewalk.jpg"And that's all I can
recall of Brooklyn Bridge,
tonight, John A Roebling
and Washington Roebling
built it, and it hath cables
and it does one good
to cross it everyday----"

- Jack Kerouac (the Brooklyn Bridge Blues)

If you find yourself walking over the Brooklyn Bridge later this evening, please do stop to enjoy the poetry reading you are likely to encounter.

Tonight is the 9th Annual Bridge Walk (a benefit for Poets House), and it promises to make you fall in love with NYC all over again.

The walk begins at 6:30pm and concludes with a benefit dinner that you can purchase tickets to here.

Recently the Poets House was able to add this new space. It is located at 72 Spring St. 2nd Floor. The library is free and open to the public Tuesdays through Fridays 11 am until 7 pm and Saturdays 11 am until 4 PM.
