Gothamist was discussing videos filmed in New York yesterday, and today stereogum has photos of Britney Spears filming her new video in, yes, the Big Apple. We can't tell where she is, exactly, except somewhere where she wears an oversized trucker hat that makes her look like she followed Cartman's plan on how to pretend to be retarded for the Special Olympics (episode 803; see also). Snoop Dogg is also in the video, which gives it some buzz. Apparently Britney's been spotted at the Lafayette branch of Crunch, so, for some of you, that might be reason enough to get your exercise on.

A couple years ago, I read that she was shooting a video in LA really late at night in a residential area, and some residents were so fed up with the noise at like 3 am that they peed in buckets and tossed it out the window dousing Ms Spears and the set with their angry urine.
Of course it won't air here, it's actually funny.

as long as we focus on b spears and her fake-ass exploits we are not educating ourselves about the mechanisms of republican enrichment! that being said, i'd like to announce the start of the Send Britney Spears to College Fund. One less chickenhead would go that much further in making the world safe for democracy!

Britney didn't quite make it all the way through the shoot. She blew out her knee again during a (seemingly) off-camera choreography rehearsal at 11:30pm yesterday. Her record company just now released the news.
This seems to be related to an injury that had her out of commission a while back, just as she was establishing her fame. During the video shoot for her second single from her first album, "Sometimes", she had a knee injury that required surgery, and was on crutches for months. A recurring knee injury is as bad for a pop princess as it is for a basketball player; without dance sequences and catchy choreography, a performer like Britney or Madonna would lose a great deal of their live performance presentation. Britney, in particular, would not have much to offer in a performance if she was forced to stand or sit still. (Britney Unplugged?)
Tomorrow's news: Christina Aguilera postpones tour dates as she receives some bad news at the free clinic...
Apparently she was shooting the video somewhere in Queens. Oh, and she busted her knee cap and had to have surgery. ha ha ha.

That's a very good point. Without all the flashy dance routines to hide the fact that she's lip-synching, Britney wouldn't have anything at all to offer to her fans during "live" performances. At least, I know that I've never heard anyone say that they've gone to a Britney Spears concert for her singing.
she was filming a video for "Outrageous" for the "Catwoman" movie soundtrack. I learned this little gem of information while searching for something, anything, to do at work. I need a better hobby. Or a better job.
Josh, they are talking about the Christina A. video she did overseas where: she goes into an office to discuss her new video/career/whatever wearing a tube top blouse, the suit she has to talk to leaves the office, she starts playing around with the pneumatic chair bouncing up and down on it, a couple of construction workers are outside the building peering up into the office she is in (from that angle she looks nude), they see Christina bouncing up and down and giggling.
They both say "I knew it..." as if to say she is a freak. (At which point, I insert "I knew it...")
I believe it's an ad for a cellular phone or something, but the jist is that you, the consumer, shouldn't believe everything you see in a tabloid...even if it's a photo.
And to make things perfectly clear as far as the battle of the "divas" goes.... Britney can't sing outside of a studio, Christina CAN, so: reputation aside, Christina is an artist, Britney is a performer. This knee injury, coupled with various emotional breakdowns in other countries, is crippling Britney in more ways than one.
Hm, I thought her last "knee injury" was when she got her tits done.
God damnit, this knee surgery/new boob job better be finished soon, I have tickets to her July 9th concert at Jones Beach...
are we sure this knee injury is going to be more crippling than the fact that she's dating some greasy guy with a pregnany fiancee in L.A.? Will it hurt her more than the Vegas wedding? Seriously, if she's going down it has to be something flashier and cooler than a knee injury at this point.
