Lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, lovely day. Mostly Sunny with a High of 72.
(That was me doing my Bill Withers impression.)
Hopefully this shocking revelation won't blow anyone's mind, but occasionally, especially on good weather days, Gothamist wakes up and wonders what the heck to say here. That's when the beloved Google search comes in. Today it's going to be sunny. So what happens when you google the word "sunny?"
You end up finding a Premier League football team fantasy league called Sunny Afternoon whose leader is "666 The Team of 666." Shocking.
Gothamist knows little about fantasy leagues, and maybe a tiny bit about soccer in the UK--if only because of a Sunday night program that shows highlights of the previous week's matches. (If you've seen this show, or know the name of it, please leave a comment...it's killing me.) Because of that show, Gothamist knows that Arsenal went undefeated, and that Wolves...well, Wolves didn't do so hot this year. Gothamist is also considering trekking to Giants Stadium to see AC Milan play Man U on July 31, if only because, says the Meadowlands website, AC is led by a brilliant player named Kaka. Okay, maybe that's not the only reason. But can we at least agree that the MLS leaves a bit to be desired?
So, today will be sunny. And Gothamist looks forward to the Sports blog covering soccer and le foot. In fact, this whole entry was one giant shill for Gothamist Sports. Way to use your marketing money, guys!
