Here's a handy hint. Use your towel to open the door so you don't have to touch it after those who don't wash their hands. BTW..noticed NYC is better than Florida where about half the men don't wash hands..even with children..gross.

Remember to verbally remind your non hand washing friends to please do so. I did that once at Caliente Cab and the guy actually came back and thanked me for reminding him.
D2

yes, he did wash his hands after he thanked me.

I'm awaiting that day when women realize that SITTING on the toilet is cleaner and more effecting than squating and spraying urine everywhere.

Ladies Room Urine Spritz is a major problem at NSU/Graduate Faculty Building on 5th avenue.

If a bathroom is nasty, and all a guy does is pee, then is it not sometimes cleaner to actually avoid the sink handles and paper towel handles? I know my junk is clean. Its just skin. It went from a morning shower to being well ensconced in my shorts. But who knows what is on those surfaces? ;-)

I love the new foam soap that many public bathrooms use now. It's alot nice than the pink medical grade goo that most places have.

And I was actually in a restroom that still had the community cloth towel that goes around and around the reuse germy-goround. I chose to wipe them on my jeans instead.

I never used to get sick before I moved to the city... and then I got sick often. So I started avoiding the subway poles and washing my hands after train trips... and now (2+ years later) I never get sick - probably not a coincidence (and I'm definitely not some looney obsessive handwasher).

I once came out of a stall at Columbia University and witnessed a simultaneous stall emergence, only my bathroom companion did not head for the sink; rather, she went right for the paper towels. Yes, she wrapped her urine-soaked hands around the paper towel lever that I had planned on touching immediately following a good hand-washing.

Not only do I no longer wash my hands in public restrooms, I also now open the door with a gigantic wad of toilet paper and work the Purell once I'm safely outside.
