Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Opens

Gothamist has not read every single review of the latest Harry Potter film, but we wanted to point out something in Jami Bernard's Daily News review:
Charismatic Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) and the appealingly goofy Rupert Grint (Ron) are posterready for the ceilings of adolescent girls everywhere. And the seriously beautiful Emma Watson (Hermione) is developing nicely, not only in her acting abilities.
We're guessing if a male movie critic wrote that last line, people would be screaming that he's a pedophile. Emma Watson is really beautiful, as recent photos prove, but she's 14, people. Let's just concentrate on how cool and cute director Alfonso Cuaron is - we think he's carrying a beer to the Harry Potter premiere in this photo!

The official Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban site. And it's 87% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes (so far).

It's Prisoner of Azkaban, not Prince. Thank you.

rupert grint's holding one of those offending bottles in the second picture down. as such, i prefer to believe it's something slightly more innoctent like "butterbeer."

There was a recent skit on Saturday Night Live where Harry Potter and friends noticed how much Hermione (played by guest star Lindsay Lohan) had "developed." Sickos!

Hey, she won't be 14 forever.

JOKE. Come on, now, I'm three times her age, it's a joke, fercryingoutloud. What are those cops doing in here?

I like how she looks like a young Jim Morrison (or a tween Calamity Jane from HBO's "Deadwood") in the publicity still here.

I sorta wish she weren't all glammed up on the red carpet and that she could relish those last few moments of being a kid.

Are you calling roger ebert a pedophile? In his review of "Chamber of Secrets" (when she was probably only 12 or something) : "Hermione Granger (Emma Watson, in the early stages of babehood)"

Besides, Hagrid is what sets my loins on fire.

How old are the people cheering in the crowds in those pictures? They look like they're in their twenties...that's really sad.

i love all the harry potter books and films. i really love rupert grint though. he is so hott, but n e ways, i also love how good they all r in the third film. i cant wait to see the next one. but i have sent emma and rupert so many letters. and i have ruperts phone number we talk all the time. in fact i am going to london soon to see him. this will be the first time he even gets to see his girlfriend. i hope he likes me.wish me luck!

i think that harry potter is the best film and book and i think j.k Rowling has an imagination of gold. she has created a wonderful story which both adult and child can enjoy. she helped harry potter into our lives and for that i thank her. I think that she chose exactly the right actors for all the charcaters, my fave character is ron weasly hes the true form of the charcater.

YO CREO Q HARRY Y HERMIONE SON LA MEJOR PAREGA DEL AÑO Y RON SE DEBERIA QUEDAR CON LUNA Y TODO EL MUNDO CONTENTO BUENO YO POR LO MENOS
