Moving Day

The Voice has an essay about moving today that reminds us that moving in New York City is a unique challenge. If only it was as easy for most of us as calling in some movers and going out for coffee.

Hiring movers might be the way to go (especially if you live in a walk up - the money you'd pay to the movers is definitely worth it if it means you don't have to haul your own couch up five flights of stairs), but, then again, why not call your and make a day of it? Save some money by calling in the troops, but don't forget to buy them all dinner afterwards. Truck rentals aren't too bad these days - certainly less than paying movers.
