Hello, Sailor: Fleet Week 2004 Begins

2004_05_fleetweek.jpg

It's that time of the year when the streets are overrun by men in dapper uniform: Fleet Week! Many ships from the Navy, Coast Guard, and other countries will be coming into New York for a week of festivities, including a Parade of Ships (today), a Tug of War (Saturday), and a "Best of Chow" contest (Sunday). More information can be found at the Intrepid's website; the Intrepid is where many of the events will be held. But you'll be able to see the cute sailors in Midtown, either asking to have pictures taken or having people bombard them with picture requests.

Check out the Navy's official Fleet Week NY site.

This probably means all gay bars and male strip clubs will be packed till next week.

And every female in Manhattan will be dressed like her inner $10 hooker.

you can bet Sterling will be out in his American flag spandex bodysuit just begging for some patriotic buggery

There's an image (MY EYES! MY EYES!)

At risk of offending people and running this into the ground...

SMUCKERS, the company that makes Crisco Oil, has surged in stock price On the news of Fleet Week.

well, perhaps the rapid increase in STDs in NYC brought on by these uniformed whores will stick around long enough to cause some major complications during the Republican Con.
and you can soak THAT in Crisco!

Where's Pier 88? The Navy website says Manhattan. Very helpful.

all kidding aside, when i was in high school, i loved watching the ships come up the hudson river.

I think Pier 88 is 1 pier North of the Intrepid. I visited the ships last year and there were separate lines to see the Intrepid and the ships docked alongside her and to see four other ships docked at a normal cruise ship pier.

Actually, I forgot about fleet week until I saw an old wooden ship in the East River today and then I got all excited about the ships. Sadly, I can't find out any info about the wooden ship online but it was the old mast type one and was flying an American flag in case anyone has the info.

Oh my god, men in uniforms! Dancing at Splash and Roxy with their shirts off, hot abs rippling in the glimmer of the musty room.

I think I have died and gone to gay heaven.

"Man Overboard"!

Now I know how those sailors in the subs must feel. All alone in the deep anals of the sea with hundreds of steamy men..."UP Periscope"

Well don't forget, tonight is the last night and then our brave, muscular, frim, butch, buldging bubble butt boys are off. Let's get them off with a good bye New York party.
