Today's Forecast

So it's supposed to be mostly sunny again, with a high around 79. But excu-u-u-se me if Gothamist can't help feeling a bit disenchanted, given yesterday's forecast that, as Joe mentioned, was at least a few miles off.

Gothamist got caught in that weird 7:15PM thunderstorm blast yesterday. It didn't last long, but it poured enough to thorougly wet everything and make my feet dirtier than they have been in 8+ weeks of flip-flop wearing.

In lieu of posting that picture in protest, Gothamist gives you the vinyl cowboy hat protector. My elementary school bus driver, Mr. Faulk, used to sport one on his Stetson when the weather seemed a bit iffy. Gothamist was never sure whether the thing was just some shower cap he'd swiped from his wife's chest of drawers, or what. Now we know. So, even though today will be "mostly sunny," throw one into your messenger bag--and thank me later.
