Extreme Weather on the Big and Small Screens

Instead of ‘recapping’ this great programming, we wanted to remind you that The Weather Channel is NOW presenting “Extreme Weather Week” (May 23-29 at 8 p.m. ET). This special themed week of ‘Storm Stores” is hosted by meteorologist and storm tracker Jim Cantore.

The timing of this programming is no coincidence. The Weather Channel served as the highlighted weather authority for Twentieth Century FOX’s movie “The Day After Tomorrow”. As a matter of fact The Weather Channel and their meteorologist have plenty of cameos in the film as one of the last networks on-air amidst the chaos caused by the catastrophic weather events.

So, the movie might have great effects but all you have to do is buy cable for the truth behind global warming.

I enjoyed Extreme Weather. I have had a brain lapse. What volcanic island is being watched that could wreak havoc for the entire east coast of the United States as far as 13 miles inland?
