Wow, finding all this NYC OEM info leaves so much still to post. How'd I miss all that? Perhaps we'll make this a theme this week to point out other related info. Wanna send me your favorite (scariest) red hurricane symbol??

*enter hurricane freak* There used to be a bunch of PDF's on the NYC hurricane readiness website about storm surge/evacuation, but I think they took them down and replaced them with this feature: http://gis.nyc.gov/oem/emols/he/address.jsp Basically you type in your address and the evacuation map (divided into zones) pops up. I'm on the cusp of Zones 2 and 3 in Bklyn...which means I may have to evacuate!
