Today's Forecast

Here we go again. Today, we're looking at a high of 80, a bit more pleasant than yesterday. And though there's a chance of scattered thunderstorms today and tonight, I dug a little deeper into the Weather.com forecast, which predicts potential showers this morning, but no thunderstorms til around 4PM.

The creepy and wonderful lightning photo KP's friend took yesterday reminds me: if you ever snap an interesting weather pic, email it to us. (If you'd like to be weather artist-in-residence for a week, let me know, too.)

well lookie here, just after 4pm and the sky is about to fall. was weather.com right??

from my windowseat on West 13th street, it definitely appears so.

can you see the lightning? send me photos!

Do you know of a forecast on the web that tries to predict humidity? I'm baffled that it's so hard to find out whether tomorrow will be muggy - given that it's the most decisive thing to know about the weather other than rain.

Hm...good question. I think Joe once described the instrument that's used to measure humidity (a hygrometer?), but I have no idea if it's predictable. Maybe he does. Joe?
