well you know airliners have a refrigerated space too for people who die in flight? i'm talking LONG flights, like here to tokyo. i mean what are you supposed to do with a dead body? people do die, its what they do.

most of the people who go on cunard cruises are v. v. elderly, looking for a place to spend their twilight years bossing people around and giving youngsters the stink-eye. the average age was around 68. i heard that something like seven people died (of old age) on the QE2 carribean holiday cruise i went on in dec/jan - they even have a morgue on the ship for such occasions! neat-o! i won't soon forget the "new years party" hundreds of aged folks whooping it up...and by "whooping it up" i mean sitting still with a dour expression on.

I watched from Battery Park City. Big boat, indeed, and what a great NY moment to watch it emerge from the fog. But I gotta say that the best part was the fireboat shooting red, white, and blue water.
