Agreed Mike C. How can you be cool if you're surrounded by other cool people? Oh right, cool is being like everyone else! (stay in BK and below 14th all you hipsters!)

So glad I'm one of those cool adults who *left* Brooklyn and moved above 14th Street!

exactly tien. Detroit is weird because no one actually LIVES there. If you add the surrounding suburbs, I'm sure the area is growing but the big problem for the city is the increasing gap between city and suburbs.

I will admit I'm from there and it's not a bad city. Everyone here thinks the place is run down but when I tell people there I live in Brooklyn, they ask me how many times I've been mugged.

kojak, i would think that the decline in detroit is due to the jobs leaving, then the people, then the city going to crap.

that and all the money is in the surrounding suburbs.

lol The Zombies I can live with, The Crowds I could not. But doesn’t the decline of a population have a adverse effect on the City's Economy? Look at Detroit. Their Population has been going down for years and things seem to be getting worse.

I'd like to see it decline, so that we can have a little more breathing room in the parks, bars, subways, movies, grocery stores. When I lived in Boston (really just a glorified college town) the summers were the best time of year because half the population would be gone on break. The place would empty out, and going out was a pleasure. I think Manhattan could use an emmigration of about 500,000 people. Maybe some zombies coould come to life at our cemeatries and start eating people. That would be cool.
