<p>What's at the center of Times Square? Well, maybe not quite, but is anyone acquainted with Max Neuhaus' sound installation at the triangular pedestrian island at the intersection of Broadway and 7th Avenue, between 45th and 46th Streets? I've tried to listen in, but alas - maybe the thing was taking a break and munching away at the Burger Joint, making all kinds of unusual sounds.

Is it back? How about a confirmed hearing?
