Website's Suicide Video Seems to Lead Back to NYPD

The appearance of a suicide video on a porn-and-violence website has been linked to the NYPD. Harlem resident Paris Lane shot himself in the lobby of a Bronx housing project, which had surveillance cameras set up by the police. The NYPD is investigating how the video managed to get onto the website, whether the NYPD was hacked into or if someone from the NYPD submitted it. The Times notes that the website (described as "the best place to get their fix of sick free adult humor, tasteless (but way funny) dirty jokes, and free video clips that include shocking moments, brutal stupidity, and a healthy dose of hardcore sex") gets submissions from its visitors. The suicide video, called, "Introducing: The Self-Cleansing Housing Projects," has since been taken down.

Unfortunately the reality of life is that death is not always peaceful or beautiful.

It's too bad. Too bad some sickos are probably laughing at it right now. There aren't many people I can't stand...but those "people" are an exception. It's a shame...

  • Disturbing, but not surprising. Some things never change ...

    yeah. what screwblue said.

Hacked? Yeah, right. Some cop decided that he was sick of selling confiscated drugs back to the dealers and sold this instead.

  • Porn can be all good clean fun but the linking of violence and porn or violence as porn is terribly disturbing. I also think that real violence as entertainment like the Faces of Death videos and things like that are harmful and a good barometer of how "healthy" someone is. If I meet someone who is into stuff like that, I turn tail and run.
