Go down to the Yiddish bookstore at the Arbiter Ring (where the offices of the Forward is)on 33rd by Lexintgton and pick up a copy of "Vini der Pu". But these books are even better when read aloud to children while under the influence of helium.

Grine eyren mit shinken? Avode, ganz treyf. But piglet is called "khazerl" and Eeyore is "Iya" and gets to say "Oy vey!" an awful lot. And luckily, it used latin orthography.
