Courtney and the Criminal Justice System

While Law & Order effectively killed off Courtney Love in a Kurt-and-Courtney inspired episode from 2002 (TV Tome description: "Investigating the death of a rock band singer who had large amounts of cocaine and heroin in her system, the detectives question a former boyfriend who was a disgruntled band mate of her late husband"), Gothamist can only hope that another Love-incarnation will arise after her nutty antics last night and early this morning. Our logline would be
Totally insane, almost washed up rock musician is found murdered in her hotel room after exposing herself on national television and getting arrested for hitting someone on the head with a mic stand during an East Village performance. Detectives Briscoe and Green try to find the murderer. Was it the hipster hit by the mic stand? Estranged band member? Her publicists who got tired of posting her bail? Or the talk-show host whose program was threatened by her boob flashing?
You have to wonder: Everyone was hoping for Courtney to lose it last night in New York, and she certainly delivered. Maybe she's shrewder and less insane than we originally thought...mmm, nah.

Updated: Photos of Courtney being released from the 9th Precinct.

i used to have this great mpeg of courtney love performing "malibu" completely topless- she's just out there and jiggling. it was great.

I imagine she lives a sad life. Always trying to one up her self in the public's eye. I imagine she enjoys her reputation. She gets a lot of play out of it. At the end of the day she's not going to be remembered for her music or acting, which I've admired a great deal, but for her shocking antics. The worst part of it though is that she has a child, who is, like all children, soaking everything up like a sponge. Having lost her father she has inevitably looked to her mother for guidance and it is tragic what she undoubtably sees.

sorry courtney, janet jackson beat you to the punch on this...

guess this is a new trend, not that there's anything wrong with that

; )

What's worse: this pic of C. Love's lipo'd hips and belly, or the girl in today's personals section with the Duran Duran "Rio"-era make up job? I haven't seen that much make up since David Sylvian on the cover of Japan's "Gentlemen Take Polaroids."

poor letterman last night. i could remember a time when he was younger and was better able to deal with the loopy guests.

I love the "ripped from the headlines" episodes. I would def watch Gothamist's version about Courtney's antics last night, as well as an episode related to Spalding Grey's death, which I'm sure that script is already in the works.

I think that, that f u c k e d up whore killed Kurt Cobain And should be locked up. Its not possible for him to of killed himself. Did just happen to have the longest arms in the world so he could of pulled that trigger. I hope she rots in hell.

i know! he couldnt of. and his shoes were tied when they found him, so he coulndt have done it with his feet.
and the fact that she never talked to the investagator doesnt help her much.
