Youre playin with people that you've always dreamed of playin with now show 'em what you got. You led Lincoln to their victory, now help Paul Pierce lead the Celtics. Good Job and keep it up.

ah yes, bron bron. i tend to have a hazy memory with some details (i hit my head on my desk recently), but success, while unlikely, is possible.

Kobe never played the point and didn't really flourish his first couple of years. Lebron started this year playing the point and did for the first 30 or so games and did very well and now that he's at the 2 he's doing even better.

LeBron is the true exception.

Bassy - go to school!

i hope that he goes to college. i don't think 18 year olds in the nba is necessarily the best idea, but that's a whole other question. if there's a market for them, and it's okay by the nba, they should be allowed. it's probably not great for the game, or for the ones that don't make it, but it's up to the individual player. and if they get drafted by a team, then there's obviously some sort of demand.

as far as a guard that has gone to the nba, last time i checked kobe bryant was a guard and he didn't go to college. you can debate if that's a success story or not, but his nba career seems to be a success.

Telfair is committed to Louisville next year and has said numerous times that he's looking forward to playing for Coach Pitino in the Big East next year (Louisville is set to join the Big East with 3 other C-USA teams for the '04-'05 season).

No guard (especially no point guard) has ever even attempted, much less successfully, made the transition from high school to the NBA and the prevailing wisdom is that such players need a year of conditioning against bigger bodies in college before they can make the leap. Even cousin Stephon spent a year at Georgia Tech.

If anyone could do it, I think Telfair's got the best shot but if I were him, I'd take the show to Kentucky for a year and then head to the Big Show.
