Oh maaaan, Prince is the man. He is just one of a kind. he is like James Brown, Little Richard and Jimi Hendrix all rolled up into one.

He played a kinda-secret show at "Club Black" (fka Exit) last night. Tickets were $80, went on sale Saturday. Of course, I went, because I am the luckiest man alive the guy directly ahead of me in line had two extra tickets. Prince was amazing. His band, however, was totally horrible. Candy "Blonde soulless sax-fellating jizzjar from the Norway" Dulfer, for God's sake. The keyboard player was all Chuck Mangione flourish jazz hands and everbody played a MILLION SOLOS. The first fiteen minutes of the show was just everybody jazz-vamping it up while Prince didn't say a word. Every good song was ruined by cheeseball wah-wah funk production. It was Prince filtered through CD101.9 smooth jazz and the audience was eatinitup. It was a terrible, terrible show. I guess when you're only 5'4" you don't think you can fall that far.
