i once saw ed koch at the angelica. i was seeing GUMMO on a date with a man who has been immortalized in my circle of friends as the "bad october relationship." obvioulsy it was many octobers ago. . . i thought is was strange that ed koch was seeing GUMMO, i wonder what he thought of it. . .

Koch is cool! I think he's been reviewing movies for The Villager for quite a while.

i remember seeing koch all the time when i lived in the village. it was after he lost his last election and, when people would shout something like "hey mayor, we miss you!", his standard reply was "the people threw me out, and now they must be punished". classic koch.

I never noticed his "How'm I doin?" rap until I saw it immortalized in oddly enough, "The Critic".

I'm fond of Ed Koch because he's the first NYC mayor I've been aware of. My childhood is filled with "How are you doin'" memories.
