Thoroughly enjoyed the critique of New York. My wife is from there and I have been there often...expect to cut a trip short so that I can stop over there in about two weeks. Good question on the cabbies. Something like that happened to me and I did not pay the fare. Just cut out quickly.

NYC taxi etiquette question...if your cabbie starts brawling with another in the middle of Sixth Avenue and you have to walk the rest of the way, do you pay the partial fare?
