On my last visit to Paris a couple of years ago I made a point of going to see the Promenade Plantee - an elevated railway that&apos;s been turned into a park, fully landscaped and an oasis of tranquility in the middle of a bustling city. Maybe Gothamist could start a campaign for a similar initiative in NYC? Have a look at the picture galleries of the Parisien version at http://www.promenade-plantee.org and you will see what can be achieved.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
