The MTA braces itself for the first big day of commuter traffic on the rerouted subway lines. Yesterday, which was the first day of service, transit workers were out in force with maps in different languages, but still many, especially tourists, were confused. The MTA says to expect a few days to get used to the changes. There's also hope that the reopening of the Grand Street stop will help area businesses in Chinatown. Gothamist wants to know how your experiences on the "new and improved" subway lines are - let us know in comments!
NY1 has a good summary of the changes. And ceck out the Straphangers map for changes. Reader Steve recommended it because it shows you what streets stops are near.
Plus, Gothamist was at the party for the last Q-Diamond train.

So far, so good. I usually take the F to the D, switching at 34th St. This morning, I walked to the B/Q station at 7th Ave. and Flatbush, and then switched to the D at Grand St. Overall, my commute now has something like six fewer stops, but for some reason, it's no quicker than it was before.
i got on the D last night and I ended up in Hoboken! I had to spend the night at a hotel!
I love the new B train, especially its alliteration: B, Bedford Park Boulevard - Brighton Beach.
the B - what a feelin'! i live in park slope and used to take the F to West 4th. this morning, my commute was cut in half. also, since people are just getting used to the B, my face wasn't shoved in somebody's armpit like on the, in my opinion, extremely overcrowded F. i heart the B. it rocks my world.
wait- how do you take the new B from park slope? b/c that's where my parents live and i'm always looking for ways to avoid the freaking F train. like, how would i get from soho to park slope on the B?
Jake, get on the B at Broadway/Lafayette and take it out to 7th Ave. in Brooklyn. It'll let you off at the intersection of 7th and Flatbush.
Note: The B does not run on Sunday.
