Mayor Bloomberg Secures Websites

The Times reports that Mayor Bloomberg's lawyers have bought over 100 new domain names, including, michaelbloomberg08.us, michaelrbloomberg07.org, stopbloomberg.com and votenoforbloomberg.org. Here's an example Whois lookup. While this might signal the Mayor is looking at gubernatorial or Senate runs, his press secretary Ed Sklyer says the Mayor is just being pre-emptive. Mmm hmm. Mayor Bloomberg already owns a 100 other domain names, including ihatebloomberg.com and one that refer to 2005, which is his reelection year. The Times also points out that Bloomberg does not own impeachbloomberg.net and dontblamemeblamebloomberg.com, both owned by upstate residents. Kids, bloombergwontletussmoke.com is available.
