Not only is Manhattan shaped like a penis, but Brooklyn is shaped like the testicles. The prostate gland would reside somewhere in Queens. The bladder: the Bronx. Staten Island might very well be a blob of semen.

Arguably the most well-known and broadly-sweeping street in Manhattan is Broadway. Notice that it sort of takes the path of the tube in the penis (the vas defrens? I'm no doctor). It runs along the top, and then winds up going straight down the center, to the bottom of the tip (or "head").

And what do you see on the MTA map where Broadway meets the tip of Manhattan? A location where tons of ferrie shoot out, each ferry carrying many little people. And at one time some of those ferries reached a giant woman, and the little people entered up and inside of her (the Statue of Liberty)...

Sounds very penis-like to me!

And yet the MTA will approve ads from slimey personal injury lawyers showing stick-figure babies eating lead paint and giving the "thumbs-up"? Or the one where the doctors screw up their stick-figure surgery causing the patient's heart to plop out of his chest? Hmmm.

Is anyone else tired of hearing how every damn thing on earth is phallic-looking? Can we move along?

oh, everybody thinks it... i think it's a pretty good ad campaign for a good cause. and yeah, the mta maps are the biggest offenders!

Manhattan Island is an odd shape for a penis.

I'm Glad the MTA blocked it, it wouldnt look too good anyway

I wonder whether the MTA's decision was affected by the superbowl wardrobe malfunction. After all, the incident even left MTV waxing puritanical.

It's funny, but I always thought the MTA maps, in their abstraction of the waterline, were the ones that made the island look the most phallic. The ad sounds brilliant. Any links to images of it?
