i don't know, i heard her interview on npr last week, and while i don't dispute the possibility of being happy without committment from another human being, there's just something about her meticulous efforts to Classify the Type that makes me wonder if she's a difficult person (to satisfy, to be around, in general) and that maybe that's why she's alone and/or not settling down...

i think quirkyalone sounds a little bit retarded. no- make that gigantically retarded. you know you are living in an outrageously rich country when people have time to think up new words that mean the exact same thing as old ones- i mean, why the hell can't you just say single?
