I had heard rumors of it also, but I think the Post article is the first confirmation that it's a go. The quotes seems different from the tvondvds interview. It makes sense the Post might get an exclusive, since the Post and Fox are owned by News Corp.

this is some great news that has been around for a few months on tvshowsondvd.com. They spoke to the creator Seth MacFarlance back in December about it and it's pretty sad that either the Post is simply copying the interview without doing further research, or that no progress has been made since then.
