Serena Williams On Tonight's Law & Order SVU

2004_01_serena.jpg

Ms. Williams won't be playing a special victim. She just makes a special guest appearance. Tonight's episode, though, involves...the Internet:

When the pledgemaster of a hardnosed local fraternity is found murdered and sodimized Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) believe the murder to be the result of the victim's Internet porn sight, which feature unwitting college girls at a local bar. However, when the evidence points back to the fraternity, the detectives slam up against the wall of brotherhood as the brothers are less the cooperative especially with the prime suspect being a recently departed pledge.

Does that mean Serena in is an unwitting Internet porn victim? Only tonight's episode will tell! But check out how NBC.com spelled "site" as "sight." That's only something that would happen on...a blog without spellcheck.

there is definitely nothing wrong in seeing other people's mistake but you have to be quite sure if you are not making one already but if you are not then everything is wrong with it

  • muyiwa

Actually, if you are speaking of something you wish to have seen by others "Websight" is perfectly appropriate. Furthemore SIGHT is more appropriate. You can wish all you want but you ain't goin' there to touch!

As I said, "a blog without spellcheck!"

It's not a day without at least 10 mistakes of varying sorts (spelling, grammar, accuracy) on Gothamist.

  • Striver is correct -- moreover, not to nitpick, but this entry makes a similar error: "Does that mean Serena in an unwitting..." should have read "Does that mean Serena is an unwitting..." Everyone's susceptible.

  • Jack La Lane

Forget the cup size, look at the biceps and triceps on her!

  • Jen H

Serena Williams, future American Apparel model.

  • Striver

Spellchecking wouldn't catch "sight" instead of "site" because "sight" is a legitimate word. In fact, the larger the spellchecker dictionary, the more likely it is for typos to get through.

  • Nedrick

    How is one "sodimized"?

  • Serena and her sister are definitely athletic-sexy.

  • Jaxx

    Now _that's_ a nice t-shirt pic.

    Catalogue casting call ... ?

  • What are Thandie Newton and Bend it like Beckham girl doing on that ER commercial? Is ER good again too?

  • speaking of internet pr0n sites, get a look at those fun bags! i would say they are the size of basketballs, but with the aid of the size comparison, they appear to be more grapefruit sized.

  • I remember the L&O where some young hacker (belonging to a thinly-disguised Legion of Doom) shows Lenny how to use a BBS. I think it was Lenny, at least.

  • An "Internet porn sight"? Don't they mean an "Internet porn site," as in website? It's not "websight"!

Come on Law & Order, don't let me down!
