Happy New Year's Eve!

All about New Year's Eve in Times Square though some politicians think it's a bad idea. But don't fret: Here are some New Year's Eve suggestions from our Events page.

The Times looks at the cost of various New Year's Eve revelry supplies (party hat by Tiffany, in sterling silver, $225; party hat, from Duane Reade, in paper, $1.08) and how homicides have surged at the end of the year.

for my money, the best new year's eve is the fireworks in prospect park. i will be having dinner at the kitchen club, and then a few drinks with friends on elizabeth street. afterwards, i may drop by a party in LES, or else go out for some more drinks in NoLIta. what about you guys? are there any parties?

It shall be a new year's eve celebrated with family this year for me. Best wishes to all in 2004.
