Christmas Day Cab Crash

It is amazing that no one was seriously injured in this car accident: Two cabs crashed into each other, with one jumping into the side of 245 Fifth Avenue yesterday. The Post reports that two cab passengers and two pedestrians only suffered minor injuries. One cab driver says he had the green light as he was going east on 28th Street at Fifth Avenue when another cab smashed into his. The police said that on a non holiday workday, the sidewalks would be have been filled with people.

Gothamist on speeding taxis. We can't emphasize this enough: Buckle up.

Ouch. Buckle up. Do the cabs in NY have the full shoulder and waist belts, or is it the old-fashioned waist belt only?
