Using the Web To Take Down Disney

2003_12_savedisney.jpg

Hey, Roy Disney and Stan Gold! You just resigned from the Disney Board of Directors – what are you going to do?

"We're going to try to take down Michael Eisner with our website, SaveDisney.com, which has the ever approachable and oh–so–sophisticated Comic Sans font!"

What Gothamist would give to know who designed and okayed the design of SaveDisney.com. We suppose it's supposed to look down home, very non–professional, but it's only looking like silly. Our little brother designs better than that (no offense, Eric).

  • And they link to pdfs, ah.. when will the madness end!

  • me thinks; nay, me hopes that it was just a rush job to get something up while the press was still hot. if they are smart they are probably working on a much more professional and business like site, because a site designed with HTML 1 just isn't going to cut it.

Interesting that their disclaimer at the bottom mentions your restrictions by posting on their website, did I miss something?

    And Jen; Harsh!

  • if you view the source you can see that the site was programmed in the oh-so-popular html editor called Microsoft Word.

  • noo!! i hope people don't start using trebuchet ms! it's my little secret. okay, maybe not, but i want it all for myself!

  • hy

i hate that font. with a passion.

they should really try something from blambot instead.

oh yeah, and evidently trebuchet ms is the new verdana. i'm jumping out a window if i see kottke.org start using trebuchet ms.

The design of the SaveDisney-site is boring. The text is tedious to read. Save the world of fonts from Comic Sans!
