Even though Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! (see the trailer) looks silly, it has Kate Bosworth and Topher Grace, for that alone Gothamist will be first in line. A Connecticut native, Grace, as most know, is not only funny on That 70s Show but on talk shows, especially the Daily Show and Late Night with Conan O'Brien, where he discussed debating whether or not to bring a date to a wedding (his friend told him, "Why bring sand to the beach?" We wonder if that was Kutcher or Valderrama or Masterson). Bosworth, on the other hand, won our heart after Blue Crush, maybe only second to Bring it On in terms of recent sports movie greatness. At any rate, Gothamist appreciates the idea that one could one a date with a movie star with an online contest, and that Piggly-Wigglies have computers in their employee lounges, as well as the exclamation point to make it clear that this is a giddy concept. Whee!!
More about Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! from Greg's Preview. And the trailer uses the Nelly Furtado's new single, Powerless, and Liz Phair's Why Can't I.

i thought Topher Grace would be more engaging or dynamic when I met him after seeing him on said talk shows too. But he was just like, "uh, hi, nice to meet you." and that was about it. nice guy though, introduced us to Amanda Bynes then they sorta faded away into the crowd.
Why shouldn't movie titles have exclamation marks? Every movie critic quote in every movie ad has a ! at the end.
Obviously, !!! should be on this movie's soundtrack.
The original title was Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!!! I wonder what the committee meeting was like that decided to drop those two exclamation points.
It was probably alot like the power meeting of stupid, young studio execs at WB regarding "Looney Tunes Back in Action", ie. "Who's this rabbit and why does he keep saying 'What's up Doc?' I mean there's no doctor in this movie, what gives!?"
Is it just me, or does Josh Duhamel look exactly like Peter Krause?
Actually, Kate and Topher are both from Darien, CT...along with Moby and Chloe Sevigny...and of course, Alex Kelly.
Speaking of dumb product packaged in L.A. (even if its key talent originally hails from Darien, CT) I was just in a Koo Koo Roo here where an industry type was spewing into her cell phone. She said: "I have TWO words for you: FREE DAY ON SUNDAY." Could make a great new flick! Win A Date with A Hollywood Mathematician! In theaters January 34th.
it sounds like a slight rip off of one of my favorite campy musicals: bye bye birdie...
