'Tis the Season for Gridlock

The lighting of the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center tonight leads to the Department of Transportation's announcement of gridlock dates: December 3, 5, 10, 12, 18 and 19. It goes without saying that mass transit is highly recommended.

The tree will be lit at 7PM tonight at Rockefeller Center. Check out WNBC's Christmas Tree page, including their live Tree Cam! After almost being trampled by the crowds at Rockefeller Center in past years, we're sticking to watching the tree lighting on TV. But if you want a good space, we'd say start hanging out in the freezing weather by at least 5PM.

Jen, isn't the tree lighting tomorrow?

beware the nypd traffic cops! last night i got a $115 ticket for "standing in a bus stop" because for about 30 seconds the back 3rd of my car was sticking into a bus stop. seriously - 30 seconds. the cop who ticketed me told me i'm the reason for gridlock in the city. now you know who to blame.
