What exactly is the graphic on the Orlando Bloom's New Zealand t-shirt? Are three dots a Maori symbol? Abstract Mickey Mouse? Some sort of mathematical operation, like in the SATs? We tried to see if it was for sale at the New Zealand tourism site, but no luck. [Updated:] Reader ScottNZ tells us the three dots are the logo of Huffer, an urban clothing street brand in NZ. We'll check out their wares when we go to Sydney over the holidays.
The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King premiered in New Zealand today. One of this year's great movies is from New Zealand: The Whale Rider.
More about the "I ♥ NY" logo, which uses the universally understood heart as its symbol.

I ♥ Orlando Bloom. YOW!
I'll take three 'Rings' for $200. And one Bloom, for the bonus, please.
elfkind or human, i could stare at that guy all day long... wait, he's wearing a shirt? oh, i, uh, didn't even notice...
I dunno, but I have an I (Maple Leaf) T.O. shirt from Toronto, Ontatio...and am still trying to figure out what verb a Maple Leaf could stand for...any ideas?
I'm pretty sure it means he pawned New Zealand. Maybe he needed some booze REAL BAD LIKE.
Greetings Gothmistas, from down here in NZ..The logo he's wearing is from Huffer, probably one of our best streetwear labels from down here.....www.huffer.co.nz
Thanks, ScottNZ! I knew that someone out there must have known, and I'm especially happy to know that Kiwis are reading Gothamist!
No probs Jen, I love the site, always something interesting, even though I've never been to NY..
i was in Chicago this summer and saw someone with an 'I O Chicago' shirt, with the heart as a solid blue circle.
i liked the 'we're not New York, see?!?' punk attitude of it, but think it backfires because without our slogan, no one would know what the hell 'I (circle) Chicago' meant.
Pick one up in Sydney? Given the heinous rivalry between Oz and NZ, it's unlikely, I'm afraid!
whoa good luck with that. i'm from new mexico but i was in wellington for the premier and i looked everywhere for that damn tshirt for my friends back home. a store called Area 51 carries huffer but according to a sales associate, they are all sold out and with a waiting list 50 people long *shrug*
Those shirts were put out about 3 years ago, with no plans for a re-issue. The Huffer guy has said he could make a mint if he reproduced them today, but it's "Not cool".
He is a street designer from Tokaroa (Pronounced "TOKE" a-rower).
I got one for Christmas last year from my Tokaroa-based sister, and gave it to a mate in London to share the love.
And it's not a anti-NY thing, it means we are NZ.
we dont really care all we want is Orlando!
YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
