Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving cupcakes at Crumbs

If it's Thanksgiving, it's time for some food safety tips. Yahoo! helpfully lists some from the FDA:

Keep it clean. Wash hands and food surfaces often. If you aren't careful, bacteria can spread through your kitchen and get onto cutting boards, knives, sponges and counter tops.

Don't eat uncooked cookie dough, homemade or commercial, or batters made with raw eggs.

Oh, you are no fun, FDA. Gawker has the itinerary for the Downtown Thanksgiving experience. As for Gothamist, we'll be sticking to the Thanksgiving day food groups of stuffing, cranberry sauce, cake, and pie. Like these turkey cupcakes from Crumbs. Mmm...turkey cupcake (but vanilla flavored).

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
