CSI is like A&E's New Detectives or other "documentaries" only with - slightly - better re-enacting. Lenny would eat those wannabes alive, his one-liners leaving them as meticulously detailed CSI-style corpses in the Market Diner parking lot.

ok, here goes: i scored 1. brodie's houndstooth coat 2. BAYLISS' knit cap for my best friend (only worn in one or two episodes) 3. trophies from Gee's office for my aunt a big brown glass jug from the morgue (it's so cool) 4. a sign that says "Caution, Slippery When Wet" from the ramp which now sits behind my dish rack 5. Michelle Michael's (or is it Michael Michelle?) nerf basket ball hoop and ball from the last season (sorry, i know it wasn't a great season but my then boyfirend, now fiance, is a basketball nut) 6. an 8x10 framed picture of a little boy in a basketball uniform that used to be on our mantle until (a) we moved and no longer had a mantle and (b) we got tired of answering the question: "who's nephew is that?" which was often accompanied by uncomfortable glances as we are both jewish and the little boy is african american 7. a photo taken on location along with a "poster" for information leading to an arrest in the dan futterman episode where his bride "falls" into a ravine but maybe he pused her AND while you may have the board at some bar 8. THE BALTIMORE CITY MAP FROM THE COFFEE ROOM - it's a large blueprint type map and it is my prized possesion. Also, the crew who worked the "garage sale" let me take photos everywhere so I have great shots of me with Adeana's backback and a lead pipe from that show, me with Falsone's bedroom furniture, me with the wedding dress from the dan futterman episode AND the wedding dress from betty lou's wedding, AND while treating my friend to dinner across the street at the "waterfront" I had my picture taken with James Yoshamura which was super damn cool. OK, now I'm sad, 'cause even though I have all this cool stuff, I don't have HOMICIDE (except for the 60hours on VHS that my then boyfriend, now fiance taped BEFORE he was my boyfriend!!! Maybe I'll take a couple back to the burgh with me to make this thanksgiving thing bearable.

Ah ha! Jamie. I just found you on friendster. All I have to do to reclaim our Baltimore relics is contact my old friend Anna in Berlin who is friends with Juhl who is friends you ... or I can contact Amanda in San Fran, who is friends with your cohost Matt etc etc. Finally a practical use for Friendster. Seriously, since we still have the erase marker case board enshrined at Coopers (sucky bar, but the board is cool) I'll let you keep your stuff. But if you have Pembleton's hat or Giardello's trench coat...

i'm addicted to L&O but no matter how much I watch it doesn't fulfill the gaping hole left by homicide. . .i'm sure there's some cocaine/methadone reference lurking there somewhere.

The Wire has been renewed for another season on HBO (its not TV)... I don't like CSI period... I am watching way too much L&O these days... TNT and USA are both doing 3 episode marathons on Monday nights. Too much can be too much

Homicide, ah homicide. . .I know I'm new to the blogging scene, but has anyone ever writtne a piece about the Homicide Garage Sale during which they opened the the police station/setand sold all the contents. I got some great stuff there that currently decorates my home AND, my early winter coat was once worn my Brodie. I could tell you more if anyone is interested.

I can watch CSI, but it seems like the same episode each time, whereas with L&O, I can concentrate on jokes and locatiosn when I see an episode for the 10th time. I think they should put CSI in Detroit. The detectives would be heavily bundled up, a la South Park. I do miss Homicide.

Hey, if CSI isn't wanted in NY, we'll take it down here. We could use the work (are they still filming The Wire?? I don't have cable). Wait. "Overproduced ... glitz." Nope, wouldn't work here at all, as we're technologically stunted and under several layers of grime. Oh well.

i know law and order and it's many spin offs are the best, but csi: miami does not suck. granted, it's not as good as the regular csi, but ouch.

as long as it's filmed entirely in nyc, i'm all for it. unlike that "nypd blue" show... jen, i think when people read anything about l&o online, they immediately think, "ooh, i wonder if gothamist has it yet?"
