Triumph the Insult Comic Dog has gotten neutered, but for a good cause: He's starring in a PETA ad - one that slams American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken. Aiken told Rolling Stone, "I think cats are Satan. There's nothing worse to me than a house cat. When I was about 16, I had a kitten and ran over it." Apparently it was an accident, but Aiken needs to up the training for media requests, while maintaining the whole "straight" training.
Anyway, Triumph wears a post-surgery collar and a bandage on his privates. Will any readers who watch MTV TRL (Gothamist loves TRL and woo-woo-ings -"Wooo!!! I wanna give a shout-out to my homies in Scarsdale!!!") let us know about Triumph's appearance today and if he mentions the neutering? Triumph will be premiering the video of "I Keed" from his CD, Come Poop With Me.

Triumph was on "The Bob & Tom Show" yesterday, promoting his new CD. I didn't catch the whole show, but there was plenty of talk about doggie privates and pooping. I am ashamed to admit how much I laughed. I'll be taping TRL today, hoping for similar laughs.
I am amused by the Amazon.com "alternate recommendations" to Come Poop with Me, including "The Encyclopedia of Ethics" (hint-hint!) and Clay Aiken's "Measure of a Man".
Did you see Triumph in Hawaii, pooping on American Idol wannabes? His weather report on the NBC affiliate was priceless as well: "Oh, no, there is a little cloud coming to Hawaii...Hawaii is crying!"
Triumph in Hawaii was funny, but not as wonderful as Triumph accosting Star Wars nerds.
But I'm disappointed my favorite television animal would do a spot for PETA. Are they done scaring kids or something?
