Man, there are so many better indian restaurants than the ones on 6th st. (My fave, Dimple on 30th st & 5th ave.)

Also, if he was upset with the 'ground zero souvenir sellers' situation as it is today... man. He shoulda been here during, say - the first 6 months. It was AWFUL. In comparison these days there's barely anyone there and the merchandise (which is still very very tacky) is must less tacky.

I didn't make the connection until he mentioned the True Porn anthology, but I meat Kean at the release party that evening. The party was at Toys in Babeland, and Kean and I were both wallflowering when we got to talking. He mentioned driving down from Ottawa with his brother. True Porn is a great anthology, and Kean's story is very good. (Aside from being acquainted with a few of the contributors, I have no vested interest in the book.)

You're not a New Yorker until you accidentally get on an uptown express train at 59th street when you meant to get on a local and then have stare oh-so-longingly at the 72nd (or 81th, or 86th, or...) street stop as is zooms on by as you speed merrily uptown to 125th street.
