McDonald's new "Be Active" initiative - their "We're thinking of your health while we still sell yummy, fatty fries" menu options - will get a $30 million ad push whenever it's launched and here is a glimpse of the "Go Active" Meal box. The meals will have a salad, an exercise booklet and a pedometer, which makes us believe that the Go Active Meal is a one-time purchase for most, because there's no reason to have three pedometers, unless they feature a different Disney character on each one.

McDonald's nutritional information: Damn, the Sausage, Egg and Cheese McGriddle has a lot of fat.

And one of the most popular McDonald's promotions was the Hello Kitty dolls in Asia...people would line up to collect them all. Various McDonald's Hello Kitty dolls for sale on eBay.

Acutally Micky D used to be the #1 Franchise.

The # 1 franchise now is Subway with 1400 stores vs MD 's 1300 in the USA. Subway took the lead with it's "healthy alternative" ads/products. But I doubt Subway's food is th at healthy. FYI

They only make more money if they can make more and more of America fat. Otherwise, the growth curve comes to an end and the stock tanks.

Judging from the fights I get when I try to order a Happy Meal (for the Happy Meal price) withOUT the toy, I'm not too hopeful that MCD is gonna change its ways . . .
