Now that you mention it, Larry Silverstein does look eerily like Jerry Stiller without a moustache. I now suspect that his true plan is to erect a giant aluminium pole at the WTC site.

not listening to the Regional Plan Association = another disaster for New York Way too much politics involved in that site. Somebody please explain to me how the tallest building in the world was put up in 18 months, survived a scarcity of tenants for its first 20 years, and became THE signature piece of architecture in New York. Meanwhile, on a piece of land with national significance, they had to have 2 design contests just to come up with some concept half-way decent, and now even that looks like it will succumb to politics. Condemn the land, buy Larry out, and fast-track the redevelopment. Or New York's going to have a hole there still in 2021.
