The Post reports that WTC developer Larry Silverstein is trying to get his chosen architect, David Childs, to continute to work with WTC redesign architect Daniel Libeskind, in order to reach a plan of some sort, after the widely publicized uneasy stalemate in the decision process. The Post calls it's "making peace," we call it his only option as Governor Pataki is breathing down their necks to get the project started. Gothamist thinks that Silverstein has been muttering "Serenity now!" or something like that with all the drama involved.

Never mind that. Help me get this kid signed to a label so I can unlock the seventh seal and bring about the final stage of the apocalypse.

Looks like somebody shaved the hair off one of those troll dolls.
not listening to the Regional Plan Association = another disaster for New York
Way too much politics involved in that site.
Somebody please explain to me how the tallest building in the world was put up in 18 months, survived a scarcity of tenants for its first 20 years, and became THE signature piece of architecture in New York.
Meanwhile, on a piece of land with national significance, they had to have 2 design contests just to come up with some concept half-way decent, and now even that looks like it will succumb to politics.
Condemn the land, buy Larry out, and fast-track the redevelopment. Or New York's going to have a hole there still in 2021.
please jen, no more close ups of larry and no photos of david gest. i cringe everytime.
Now that you mention it, Larry Silverstein does look eerily like Jerry Stiller without a moustache. I now suspect that his true plan is to erect a giant aluminium pole at the WTC site.
i think he looks more like the small man on carnivale!
