Dodge's Urinal Commercial

Exploiting the fact that the new Dodge Durango is 7 inches longer, Dodge's advertising agency sets their new African-American targeted commercial in a men's bathroom. And yes, it's double entendre city: "That's big," "I take this bad boy out, I get respect," and "My girlfriend loves it." Dodge's director of communications goes out of her way to tell AdAge that the spot "tested very well." Of course it did - penis jokes, urinals, it's comedy gold, Jerry, gold!

See the commercial on AdAge. And Gothamist on some NYC bathrooms and urinals.

I'm completely over this stereotype. Particularly since it's so absolutely false.

  • Do they recommend putting Bridgestone Blizzak tires on it?

Who the hell came up with that name?

I have one of those it's black. It's really true what the commercial says, it's big, real big.

I just hope(for my sake) they don't run a similar ad for the Mini Cooper aimed at the Asian American market.

Yeeaaahp...this baby handles well. Navigates small corners like a dream, comes with power steering, and has hydraulic brakes. ;^)

The part in the commercial which goes, "... I can't even get my mouth around it." bothers me a little:)
