More details about news of a third apparent NYU suicide: Sophomore Michelle Gluckman said, "I can't take it anymore" and jumped out the kitchen window at 1 University Place, a building not owned by the NYU. Acording to the Post Gluckman and three friends smoked half a joint before she jumped. Witnesses reported Gluckman was throwing things "blocking the kitchen window." A neighbor tells the Post, "When I asked what happened, she said [Gluckman] was freaking out and [Gluckman] said she was going to the refrigerator to get some water." The Daily News learns her two friends tried to stop Gluckman, who made repeated attempts to jump. Another neighbor says, "They were holding her by the legs, they were trying to stop her."

Yeah, the details on this latest NYU suicide are really chilling. Reading the neighbors' accounts of this really bring to reality how terrible a situation was, especially for those unfortunate enough to witness it.
I have no idea why this is happening at NYU all of a sudden, but it is always a tragedy to lose young people, especially those qualified to attend such a fine institution as NYU.

Avi I agree with you 100%. I knew Michelle since I was like 3 years old. One of the nicest and funniest people you could ever meet. People shouldn't pass judgement on things they really know nothing about. As far as I'm concerned...it wasn'y a suicide, nothing about Michelle or her personality could point to her being suicidal or depressed. We will never know what happened that night. Please I ask whomever responds or makes comment on this topic to think about the surviving family members and the pain, grief, and guilt her family and friends feel...proceed with extreme caution.
I find it repulsive for all of you cold-hearted people to sit there and post stupid, invalid opinions about what you read about online. Do you have nothing better to do than to play on other people's grief? It is disgusting the way you speak of this incident; as if it is some type of entertainment for you. I knew Michelle personally and I am still close with her family now. I wish all of you sick freaks understood what it is like to type in a familiar name in a search engine and see 'suicide' yet the worst part about it is seeing posts like these. Just imagine if this happend to you and it was your sister or daughter who had passed away. I hardly think you would be saying these things....I hope you get what you deserve....
