Happy Birthday, Jerry! You are our favorite 68 year old man by a long shot.
Not only is Aaron disappointed in us, Gothamist is very, very ashamed we didn't post about this at the top of the day. We are addressing this problem by programming the little Jerry Orbach information we have into into our computer, PDA, cellphone... and we will watch Law & Order on TNT tonight, all night.

"Jerry Orbach is forever. Jerry Orbach is, in fact, some kind of avenging God-King..."--from Warren Ellis' extremely weird and definitely not safe for work tale posted the other day.
What exactly did Aaron mean by "Gothamist can blog anyone under the table"? Just who are you blogging under the table? And isn't that illegal?
Umm... errr... that shall remain between Jen and me.
My wife ran into Mr. O a few years ago in an elevator and the story goes that she thought she thought he was an old friend, but couldn't place him. He smiled at her and then got off the elevator. It was only then that she realized that she had just inhabited the same space as the inimitable and great Mr. O.
I saw him last Saturday as I was heading into the City Center to see Eddie Izzard. Orbach looked very orange and plastic-y. He was mobbed by fans.
I still can't believe Jerry is leaving the show! I saw a bio on him a couple of years back, when both him and one of his sons said the only Jerry would "quit" Law & Order was when he died. The show won't be the same, and I don't believe my husband and I will be watching anything but reruns with Jerry in them!!! JERRY ORBACH aka Lennie Briscoe, WE LOVE YOU!! PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS A RUMOR...WHERE DO YOU GO FROM HERE? We feel like you are a part of our family. Hope to see you in movies or another series REAL SOON! THANK YOU FOR ENTERTAINING US FOR ALL THESE YEARS. The D'Amicos in Cincinnati, Ohio
